Region II NCURA Annual Meeting Travel Awards

Due to anticipated financial constraints, Region II will not be offering travel awards to the NCURA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, August 10-13, 2025.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Region II 2025 VIRTUAL Regional Meeting Registration Award Nominations

Due to the uncertainty in research administration and the financial challenges many of our member institutions are experiencing, Region 2 has decided to make this year's Regional Meeting virtual. Fall dates are TBD. An email will go out to all members to announce the award nomination process by June 1, 2025. 

Distinguished Service Awards

The Region II Leadership Development and Nominating Committee (LDNC) is accepting nominations for the Region II Distinguished Service Award.

 

The Distinguished Service Award is an annual award to recognize members of NCURA Region II who have made sustained and significant contributions to the Region. Up to three awards may be given in any one year. The Awardee(s) will be recognized at the Region II Regional Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA, on November 10-13, 2024.

Eligibility 
A candidate for the Region II Distinguished Service Award must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 

  • Must be a current or past member of NCURA at an institution located in Region II (DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, WV);

  • Must have made a significant contribution to Region II; and

  • Must not be a current Region II Officer or Region II Standing Committee Chair or Co-Chair.

Nomination Process 
A complete nomination packet consists of:

  • A letter of nomination from a current member of Region II detailing the nominee’s sustained and significant contributions to Region II of NCURA; and

  • Two additional letters of support from individuals familiar with the nominee’s contributions to Region II of NCURA.

Complete nomination packets must be received no later than September 27, 2024 to receive consideration for the Region II Distinguished Service Award. There will be no extensions.

 

Nomination packets should be submitted to Lamar K. Oglesby, LDNC Chair, at lamar.oglesby@rutgers.edu. Final selection of the awardee(s) will be by the Region II Steering Committee.
